There were more interesting parts you could of captured. For example, fashion District. The alley has ample room for a narrow focus of all the stores that shoot right thru like a runway. There’s also the Los Angeles Public Library. A real astounding beauty. The bridge by and by 5th and Hill. City Hall! There’s many parts I would of liked to see posted.
wonderful images! I just want to say congrats for being freshly pressed today. This was my first time in that club and want to shout out to all of you who share this great day with me.
Right on! I’m currently in LA roadtripping. It definitiely is a different and diverse environment, which makes it an exciting place to be. It’s a bummer that it was raining during your stay. Check out my photos on my page of Hollywood Blvd! Safe travels man
I live in So Cal and this is a perfect capture of a rainy day in downtown LA! Made me almost smell the damp sidewalks and bitter coffe scent drifting from the Starbucks. Thanks for showing a little slice of the real LA.
Looks like the Little Tokyo area, am I right? Maybe I am. Either way, I like most of the photos — my only issue is with the framing. The best part of a picture is usually the subject that isn’t in view. A subject in the center of the photograph is expected. I’m always taken by the edges of the frame. I live in Ventura but often get up to LA and I rarely take photographs, so keep ‘em coming!
I spent last summer in LA, and I lived in one of the renovated bank buildings downtown. This feels like the same place, but with more rain, more color (though fleeting), and a kind of crisp specificity and pleasure in happenstance that I think has a lot to do with your photography. Lovely.
LOL…I kept having to do double-takes. The dude in the first pic looks like Timothy DeLaGhetto and then the other shot in the car looked like Justin Chon from the side! Great pics of DTLA! I have yet to explore there. I mainly hang in Koreatown and Hollywood when I’m in SoCal. Have a great week ahead and congrats on being FP! ^_~. ~Marianne
